Sunday at Hopewell our Sunday School Superintendent Brother Ricky Oxendine honored Loretta Allen and Sheila Sampson with a 20 year service award from our conference through our Sunday School their testimonies stirred our hearts. Sister Loretta spoke of the day our Native American preachers decided, “freedom to have a voice,” was more important than sitting in the back of a church with no voice. We became a conference and because we became a conference she said she had a place to serve and come to know the Lord. Sister Sheila spoke of a day over 20 years ago after a stirring sermon by Reverend Patrick Cummings. She gave her heart to the Lord and service always follows a true believer. I told them we need 20 more years from them. The work continues at Hopewell!
