During the 2011 annual session of the Lumber River Conference of the Holiness Methodist Church, Mrs. Cammi Morgan and the Reverend Tom Morgan presented a need to the conference on behalf of a family member who needed help completing the construction of their home. At that time the Conference allotted $8,000.00 and asked that the Reverend Bishop Willie Scott, Jr. as Chairperson of the Conference trustees to oversee the work. On December 20th and 21st volunteers from the conference arrived at the home and started work installing windows and doors, as well as, wrapping the home in vinyl siding.
While a great deal of work has been done on the home there remains a great deal more to be accomplished before the family can move in. If you or your church would like to take part in this project please feel free to contact the conference home and foreign missions board or any of the conference leadership. The project needs funding as well as workers.
