“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” John 13:35

Shoeheel Holiness Methodist Church held it’s annual cookout at the Care Facility. It is a cherished tradition, where we gather to share love, food, and fellowship with the elders. For many residents, this event brings the joy of companionship and reminds them they are not forgotten.

As we grill and share meals, we engage in heartfelt conversations, listen to their wisdom, and pray together. The day is filled with laughter, hymns, and a deep sense of connection, crossing generational boundaries.

We leave with full hearts, thankful for the opportunity to serve and looking forward to next year’s cookout, knowing that each act of love is part of God’s greater work in all our lives. A big thanks to all those who came to serve and fellowship and lead organizer Brother Mitch Harris and animal handler Brother Harold Jacobs.
