Today Shoeheel Holiness Methodist Church celebrated our high school graduates, Ms. Santanna Marie Lowry and Ms. Ashton Brooke Oxendine with a program followed by cake and ice cream after church.

"And he [Abram] believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.  (Gen 15:6)

On the first Sunday of each month, Shoeheel wear’s a shirt titled, “Know, Grow, Go.” It is a reminder of how important evangelism and discipleship are to those who follow Christ. During preaching Reverend Dewayne Lowry stressed the importance of prayer in our Christian walk and a key element is to pray for God’s will to be done. Believing that God knows what is best for us and that He knows what we need is the first step in an effective Christian life. God makes no mistakes so we should believe that He will give us what we need even if the request is declined. Furthermore, understanding the how’s and why’s of God should never trump our believing Him. He is God, He created all things, He knowing all things, He is Good and Just, He is Loving and Faithful. When we realize this then believing Him and ultimately Trusting Him with our eternal and daily life will become natural.
