{xtypo_dropcap}O{/xtypo_dropcap}n April 17, 2011 under the leadership of Class Leaders Anthony Sweat and Wayne Swett New Bethel Holiness Methodist Church celebrated what they hope becomes an annual event in the form of Membership Sunday. After the pastor challenged the congregation form the Bible about the importance of belonging to a local Body of Christ he also read to the church from the Lumber River Conference of the Holiness Methodist Church “Book of Discipline” specifically Division II which lays out the behavior and responsibilities of those who wish to be a part of the local church. After the sermon the congregation was pleased to join three new members to their Body. Pictured below (L-R) along with Wayne Swett are Ella Faye Oxendine, Margaret Oxendine, Sam Oxendine and Anthony Swett.
After the reception of new members all full and probationary members were presented a Certificate of Membership those present are pictured below.
