Title of Today Message “A New Chapter”
Genesis 37:1-9 “And Jacob dwelt in the land wherein his father was a stranger, in the land of Canaan. These are the generations of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father’s wives: and Joseph brought unto his father their evil report.”

“Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours. And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak
peaceably unto him.”

“And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.” And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed: For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.”

“And his brethren said to him, “Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words. And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.”

Jacob loved Rachel and Joseph was a product to that love. They waited so long for him to be born. Jacob gave Joseph a coat of many colors. The coat was a visible sign that Joseph was Israel’s favorite and that made Joseph’s brother hate him ever more. As Joseph interpret several dreams about God’s plan in his life the brother’s hate grew. Joseph had no control over his dreams. The dreams were from God. Even his father scolded him, not believing that he would be elevated above his family by God. God chooses whoever He will to elevate.

As Joseph was commanded to go out in the fields to check on his brothers that gave them a chance to get rid of Joseph. “So, they begin to plot to kill Joseph, but instead they chose to throw him into a pit with a story to Jacob that some animals had eaten Joseph. Satan wanted to write the end of Joseph’s Life, but God chose to write a new chapter in Joseph’s Life.”

A New Chapter in Joseph’s Life began with twenty pieces of silver when he was lead into Egypt by the Ishmeelites people. Midianites sold him into Egypt unto Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh’s, and captain of the guard. Joseph write another chapter when they threw into prison. When the devil think that he was won God writes another chapter in Joseph’s Life. In prison, Joseph begins to interpret more dreams. There we are told about the butler and the baker. The butler tell dreams that lift you up in good standing, “Remember Me” and the baker lost his life.

In another dream, Joseph reveals seven years of plenty where crops would grow and flourish and seven years where the crops would destroy the land of plenty. “God ways are different that man ways – God put you where he want you to be.”

In summary, there are three questions one should ask:

  • What chapter of your life are you?
  • Are you letting Satin write the ending of your chapters?
  • Is the final chapter of your life complete?

Satan do not want you to prosper. He wants to write your chapters. If the blood is applied to your life you have a “New Chapter”. Instead of the end continue eternally with God! Your life should be all about God.”
