Maxton- Shoeheel Holiness Methodist Church (SHMC)- One of the biggest questions that often asked is “Why should I attend bible study?” the point often being that being in attendance at a local biblical study course is no more important than individual study at home. While there is no argument against individual study there are great benefits to corporate study and fellowship. On Wednesday December 18, 2019 SHMC put its bible study into action by making Christmas gift bags for some 45 residents of local nursing home facilities that are visited by members of the church and the Serving People In Need (SPIN) ministry care team throughout the year. Team members later presented these bags along with a blanket to residents and staff the next day. Special thanks to Seth, Abel, Trey, Cecelia and Tim Locklear and Claire and Mitchell Harris for the leadership with this ministry.
