Maxton- On March 28, 2015 about fifty members and friends of Shoeheel Holiness Methodist church turned out for a cleanup day at the church. The day started with prayer service led by Sister Susan Deese, after which folks got busy with a variety of jobs. While several men were up on the roof repairing broken shingles and cleaning the church steeple others were below installing a new floor system in the boiler room which will be utilized as part of the new kitchen renovation project that is going on. Still others were hard at work spraying an application of weed control around the churches property. Meanwhile inside the church many were painting the class rooms and doing an all-around and thorough job of cleaning the entire building. Afterwards everyone was able to share in a meal of freshly cooked BBQ, fried chicken, hot dogs and all the fixins’. We would like to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication to the work of the Lord.
