Maxton- On September 18th, 2014 Shoeheel church completed a major project in paving the driveway in front of the church and adding handicap parking spaces to the front of the church. These spaces make the facility so much more accessible to all of our family and friends who are disabled or restricted to wheelchairs. This morning Brother Josh Locklear assist is grand-mother Ms. Emma Locklear (pictured below) to church and finds their path a little less rocky. Mr. John Archie Locklear (pictured above) long-time member was excited to see the finished product and “felt like it should been done a long time ago”.
This project was a true triumph of what the church is able to accomplish with the help of the Lord and good volunteers. Many of the older members and folks in the community have stated that it looks better now than when it did when it was first paved. They can judge but we praise God for the great and wonderful things He is doing at Shoeheel.
