Maxton, NC- On March 24, 2018 twenty-two members from Cherokee Chapel, New Bethel and Shoeheel Holiness Methodist churches attended the “Cruizin Pembroke” festival as part of the “Know, Grow and Go” strategy being utilized by Shoeheel church as part of their overall strategic plan for “Kingdom Building”. Emphasis is placed upon a return to evangelism. This is accomplished in three simple steps as suggested by the name mainly “Know Christ, Grow in Christ and Go share Christ”. Participants received training from Brother Timothy Paul Locklear II on what was termed “Evangelism 101” which demonstrated some of the do’s and don’ts of evangelism and what are some things to expect while sharing the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sister Nicole Locklear setup a booth with cups, ink pens, book marks and toys for the children distributing them to 198 kids. At the same time other disciples walked the grounds putting into action that which they had learned. God blessed their efforts allowing them to share collectively with 342 individuals. For many of those attending it was their first time working for the Lord in this manner, but all enjoyed the event and are eagerly planning for the next event.
