Maxton- August 24, 2014- In the Gospel of Luke Jesus said “I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.” This being the case the congregation at Shoeheel should be rejoicing for quite some time. This morning’s worship service was highlighted by four individuals who were sinners each coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The sermon delivered by Brother Jimmy Hunt was titled “Grab a Corner” taken from Mark 2:3 the emphasis was placed on how the four friends each grabbed a corner to deliver their friend to Jesus allowing no obstacle to stand in their way even climbing up and removing a roof to get the job done. The message was very timely and proved to be very edifying to those present. Those accepting Christ as their Lord were Justin , Jesse , Brittany and Miranda (photo left to right) we are proud to welcome them to the family of God and commit ourselves as a Body of Believers to do all we can to embolden them for the fight ahead, exhort them to be faithful to Christ and His church and encourage them in the faith.
