June 27, 2022, saw the culmination of several years of hard work with the presenting of a three-volume set of bound periodicals to the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP) Livermore Library Archives from the Lumber River Conference of the Holiness Methodist Church (LRCHMC). The periodicals chronicle the history of the LRCHMC and its local churches from its conception in 1900 to the present day. The Books were received by, June Power, the Director of Special Collections and Archives for the University. Representing the LRCHMC on behalf of Presiding Bishop Jimmy Locklear were Cathy Jacobs, the Conference Secretary, Timothy Paul Locklear II, Webmaster, and Dwayne Lowry, Ordained Elder. The project goals were the preservation, digitization, and public accessibility to conference documents many of which only one original copy exists.
