Fairmont- On December 19, 2010 37 members of New Bethel Holiness Methodist Church rather than spend their afternoon watching football or “Christmas” programming on television
chose instead to be a part of the Christmas experience, by providing Christmas joy to some needy and shut-ins in the church community surprising them with groceries, fruit baskets and personal hygiene gifts bags. While at the home the children and adults from the church serenaded the home with choruses of “Away in a Manger”, “Silent Night”, “Joy to the World” and of course every one’s favorite “We Wish You a Merry Christmas. The afternoon’s activities were coordinated by Mrs. Jennifer Hunt, Lay Leader at the church.
