Maxton, September 7, 2014 – Proverbs 22:6 teaches us to train up our children in the way they should go. The key to this verse is to train which means to bend the will of one to the will of another. In the ministry of Jesus this takes work from a number of people: the pastor, official board, the congregation and especially the parents and/or guardians. Two weeks ago the Reverend Harold Jacobs challenged the congregation at Shoeheel to bring their kids on Wednesday nights and he was committed to work with them in music. Today those in attendance during the worship hour got to experience this work first hand as the children’s choir rendered their first of what we pray are many songs of glory to the LORD.
