FROM THE DESK OF THE PASTOR

{xtypo_dropcap}M{/xtypo_dropcap}y beloved, Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus, whom He loves with an everlasting love, I salute you this day.  While reading in the Book of Romans, this past week, I was struck by something the Apostle Paul said in his presentation to the Roman Church.  Romans 1:6-7 says, “First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.  For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers.”  For when we as a church body take into consideration what he is saying, it should cause us to reevaluate our responsibilities as church members.  First, he declares that he thanks God through Christ Jesus for all that have been saved, that makes up the Church at Roman.  Should not our hearts burn within us, when we think of all those who have accepted Christ as their savior to become a member of the family of God. That all these, whose name is written in the Lambs Book Of Life now becomes heirs to the Thorne Of God.  Then he goes on to mention how that their faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.  This made me to wonder how effective we are as a church body?  That if a survey was taken, what would be the distance that the knowledge of our church would end.  Have we as a member of the Church Of Christ become so complacent that we are no longer interesting to the populace around us.  So let us, like the Apostle Paul, be much in prayer for our Brothers and Sisters continually that we would be out doing the Good Work Of The Lord.
