Updates:
1. The marriage retreat with Rev. Mike and Quae that was scheduled for today was cancelled due to low participation.
2. Pictures from the Conference Sunday School Convention on June 4th at Shoeheel-youth did a presentation on “13 REASONS” to LIVE in response to the netflix original miniseries everyone was talking about a few months ago called “13 Reasons”
3. Summer Youth Trip to Emerald Pointe Waterpark was held on July 27, 2017
4. August 4, 2017 Youth Lock-In at Lifestyles Fitness Center in Lumberton was a BLAST of fun and excitement and we shared bible stories and activities about the 12 Tribes of Israel. Youth were divided into age groups and participated in racquetball, swimming, volleyball and basketball among other games and activities.
5. Youth Night was held August 20th Speakers were Bro. Tommy and Sister Ashton Vincek of Atkinson, NC. They spoke to the youth on the topic of Christian Dating… is it possible and the answer is YES, with the help of God’s Word, the Holy Spirit and spiritual mentors. The event brought our summer events to a close as we recuperate and get energized for the fall season of activities.
6. Wednesday, August 23, 2017 Bro. Antonio Wilkins, the new principal of Union Chapel Elementary School came as a guest speaker to the students and parents for our Back to School Program. He shared a simple message of love and respect for others to help guide students in the actions and behaviors as they prepare to return to school. He also mentioned many ways to church and school will be collaborating on current and future events.
