Ordination is the process by which individuals are consecrated, that is, set apart and elevated from the laity class to the clergy, who are thus then authorized to perform various religious rites and ceremonies that align with the LRCHMC. Rev. Christopher Miller received this honor on Sunday, November 8, 2020. Bishop Rev. Jimmy Locklear led the ceremony and Conference Superintendent Rev. Anthony Chavis assisted along with Rev. Robin Hammonds and Rev. Jimmy Hunt who also brought the message from Jeremiah entitled “Preach Anyhow!” Rev. Chris Miller was supported by the church family and surrounded by friends and church members who congratulated his accomplishments and dedication. It was a blessed day with the brightest, clear blue skies signifying God’s approval and pleasure in our Pastor’s good work. We also initiated our first-ever outdoor Holy Communion. Prayers for Rev. Miller’s continued diligence in serving God and leading the growing congregation at Union Chapel Holiness Methodist Church through COVID-19 pandemic and beyond!
