Our Senior Citizen Celebration on August 22nd, is now an annual event in our calendar and one that I personally look forward to.
Through this event we acknowledged the role and significance of the seniors in our church. We honour and respect the good work that they have done and continue to do. Through this small gesture of appreciation we would like to express our gratitude to all our seniors, for all the hard work, dedication and commitment.
The Bible in Exodus 20 verse 12 says: ” Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon theland which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
Our seniors were acknowledged, given a fruit basket and gift card. After church, they were treated to dinner in the fellowship hall.
