This past Sunday, Pastor Dewayne reminded us that what we believe dictates how we live our lives. He pointed out that today’s progressive church culture has very little sound doctrine; therefore, people have a distorted view of fundamental biblical truths. He warned us to walk worthy where God has called us, and as soldiers in God’s kingdom, he reminded us to stay in the fight, be united in what we believe, and maintain a spirit-filled life.
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;”
(2 Tim 4:3)
“I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;”
(Eph 4:1-4)
