We had the pleasure of Bishop Jimmy Locklear delivering God’s message to us today at Shoeheel. In his message, he reminded us that the inheritance of God only comes through God’s Son Jesus Christ. His text was taken from the Apostle Paul’s letter to the saints in Roman which states, “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together” KJV (Rom 8:15-17). The Bishop gave a stern warning not to be fooled by the many paths to God but rather Jesus is the only way to receive sonship and an inheritance from God.
