This morning members of the Lumber River Conference of the Holiness Methodist church once again celebrated its annual Mission Day event of a walk from Berea Baptist church in Pembroke up the road to the Conference headquarters located about one-mile north on Prospect road. This year saw representatives from seven of the local congregations participating. Mission funds totaling $4,000.00 that was evenly distributed to Southeastern Hospice House represented by Vicky Atkinson and the Robeson County Church and Community Center.
