Cherokee Chapel Holiness Methodist Church held “Fill The Pew Night” on Sunday, April 21, 2013 for the youth of the community, and the pews WERE filled. “Fill The Pew Night” exceeded our expectations in so many different ways. The NextGen Youth Group from Freedom Life Church in Asheboro, N.C. performed various, awesome dramas that demonstrated today’s youth’s everyday challenges with Satan and also how to overcome those challenges through Christ. Rev. Ben Chavis, also from Freedom Life Church, gave a spirit filled sermonette on being a Jesus like character everyday. Our out of town visitors from Freedom Life Church were able to fill a few pews themselves while enjoying a presentation presented by Cherokee Chapel’s own drama team. We would like to take this time to show our up-most appreciation to everyone who came out to worship with us during “Fill The Pew Night”.
