It is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to emplore His protection and favor.
-President George Washington-

With the ability of secular government to subpoena the sermons, notes and communications of the church and pastors, while federal court rooms are casting aside the desires and Legal votes of the State- be reminded that not all votes cast in support of the marriage amendments were all Christian. But nonetheless the will of the majority is being rejected. It is amazing that in the mist of the social ills there seems to be no voice from the church. Perhaps the void is due in part to the death of preachers like Dr. D. James Kennedy, Dr. Adrian Rogers and Dr. Jerry Falwell at least this could explain the silence on a national platform but what about in the local church in the rural communities across the country.

It may be that the pastors in these areas are not exposed in any substantive manner to the issues of the day. Perhaps it is that some of our aging clergy are out of touch when there is the internet, facebook, twitter and other social media outlets that they are uncomfortable using. It could be due to the strategies of the left and the homosexual community to threaten and intimidate anyone who disagrees with their policies or lifestyle choices. It could be the fear of being seen as a bigot or narrow-minded which is ironic because those pushing these policies are so intolerant themselves of anyone opposed to their strategies. Whatever the reasoning it is obvious that the churches silence only helps to further the oppositions agenda.

Time’s up.
