We were honored by NCDOT for our work in roadside cleanup. In 1997 Sister Denise Locklear and Youth for Christ adopted a portion of Duffie road in Hoke County in front of Macedonia Holiness Methodist Church the portion runs from Old Maxton Road to Hilltop Road over a 2 mile stretch. We were awarded a 20 year star award which will be placed on the Adopt a Highway signs with our name on it. Macedonia is doing their part to keep God’s earth clean and beautiful we encourage all churches to do their part.
