FROM THE DESK OF THE PASTOR
The signs are every where, that the Christmas Holidays are near. The lights are all hung, the trees have been carefully decorated, and almost all the gifts have been carefully chosen, but I wonder is that what we think Christmas is all about. I should hope not, because there is so much more. In Luke 2:8-11, says, “Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them. ‘Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the City of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord”. There is no greater message that mankind could be awaiting that could bring such good news. For the scriptures goes on to tell us that, He came not to a throne but to a manger. He lived not as a king but as a servant. He chose not a kingdom, but a cross. He gave not just a little, but everything that Heaven had to offer. So Brothers, Sisters, and Friends let us celebrate the birth of Christ on this precious holy day, and go about sharing the Good News that on this day The Savior Of The World Was Born.
