Union Chapel Harvest Ministries continues to host a monthly food box distribution on the third Saturday of each month. 50-80 families are nourished each month with contributions from the church mission funds, donations from Campbell Soup, and a $780 grant from the NC Community Foundation grant was received to help with operating costs. Some of the money was used to purchase a freezer blanket to keep frozen items better contained during transport.
